Denver Weekend

I just got back last night from a fabulous weekend visiting one of my favorite cusps in her new hometown of Denver, Colorado. It was a short weekend, but we packed a ton of action into it.

My first day I got to see the Red Rocks music venue which I only associated with the Dave Matthews album before and I had no idea what a beautiful place it is. The seats are built right into natural red rock formations. Next time I visit, I want to see a show here!

Can you imagine taking in a concert with this view?

Then Beth took me to Boulder for my first hike in quite a long time. This really was more than a walk :)

My fearless guide.

As my reward for surviving my first Colorado hike we enjoyed some shopping, dinner and mexican in the adorable town of Boulder (now we're talking more my speed). I didn't take pictures because I was too busy enjoying my margarita...

The next day we took a great walk around Beth's neighborhood and then Beth decided to drive us up 14,000 feet in the sky.

The roads were windy and narrow.
They tried to warn us...

But we made it to the top and the views were phenomenal. Good thing the loss of appetite was only temporary.

I really loved Denver and can't wait to come back and experience the skiing next time.

What a great weekend with a great friend!
